The offices, a listed building in Westminster, needed considerable attention and rearrangement to bring it to today's working environment.
A floor was added roof level, a staircase added at the rear of the building, the stairwell was extended by another floor and a conical cylinder topped with a new hardwood traditional roof light. The characterless basement had a new stone stair connecting it with the rest of the building.
A new conference room with oak panelling was introduced. A new staff canteen with a domed plaster ceiling created a pleasant environment for the staff. At the rear the basement got its light from a new glass terrace supported on glass beams letting light to the gym and kitchen and then to the changing rooms and the staff canteen.
Rococo ceilings were preserved, cleaned and restored as required, to their former splendour. The original panelling in the listed rooms was cleaned and restored and painted to suit the dࣩcor of the rooms.
The dealing rooms in the office required a high degree of computer equipment and the wiring was incorporated in the fabric of the building linking all rooms together.
